Sport

All students participate in regular Physical Education lessons and daily fitness.

 

Sports Day

Each year we have a Sports Day in Term 1 that involves all children in their House teams.

 

Out of School Sports

All students participate in regular Physical Education lessons and daily fitness. As well as the classroom programme, Emmaus Catholic School offers a range of out of school sports.

Soccer

Soccer is offered to students in Years R-6 and is played on Saturday mornings at Emmaus and participating local primary school grounds. Soccer is offered in terms 2 and 3 with nominations in term 1.

Football

Football is offered to students in Years 3-6 and is played on Saturday mornings at participating local primary school grounds.  Emmaus joins with Antonio Catholic School to make up a team. Football is offered for the duration of the season in Terms 2-3.

Netball

Netball is offered in Terms 2 and 3 for U9 and U11. Games are played weeknights at Southern United Netball Association. 

Basketball

Basketball is offered to all ages and played in Terms 1 and 4 at Morphett Vale Stadium. 

Kanga Cricket

Kanga Cricket is offered during Terms 1 and 4, Saturday mornings at Reynella Oval. 

 

Competitions and Carnivals

Emmaus Catholic School students in years 3-6 also participate in several competitions and carnivals run by South Australian Catholic Primary Schools Sports Association (SACPSSA) during school hours.
