Introducing our Little Learners program: an extended transition initiative tailored for four-year-olds preparing to transition from pre-school to Reception at Emmaus Catholic School.
This program is specifically designed for students enrolled to begin Reception at Emmaus upon reaching the age of five. With dedicated teachers and classrooms, Little Learners sessions take place on Wednesday or Friday mornings during Term 2 for those starting mid-year Reception in Term 3. For students commencing Reception in January of the following year, Little Learners sessions will be scheduled on either Wednesday or Friday mornings during Terms 3 and 4.
The program has proven to be very successful for these young students through:
Helping students establish friendships
Providing practice with school routines
Familiarisation with school environment and people
Increasing the confidence and well-being of students
